Atomic Layer of the Day:
In mid-October, Formlabs launched a major product campaign along with huge price cuts on consumables. It seemed this would be enough—there were plenty of new offerings and low prices from Formlabs. However, today, the company introduced another product with competitive consumable prices—and this time, not limited to Formlabs 3D printers!
Formlabs has launched a new resin line called the Creator Series, targeting hobbyist LCD and DLP printer users from brands other than Formlabs. This series offers affordable materials that retain Formlabs’ hallmark of high quality and safety. Creator Series resins are available on Amazon at $45 per kilogram.
The Creator Series starts with two materials: Creator Tough Resin and Creator Super Clear Resin.
Creator Tough Resin resembles ABS, providing high strength and flexibility, along with a high elongation-at-break ratio, ideal for parts requiring high tensile and bending strength. This resin has a matte gray finish, suitable as a base for paints—a benefit for users making custom models and figurines.
Creator Super Clear Resin, in contrast, is highly transparent, ideal for parts requiring optical clarity. This resin is rigid and easy to post-process, with options like clear coating and polishing to achieve an exceptionally clear finish. It can also be tinted, offering users additional customization options.
Formlabs states that their resins emit no harmful odors or significant volatile organic compounds (VOCs), an advantage over many other market materials. These materials have undergone similar tests and validation processes as Formlabs' standard resins, ensuring high quality.
An added benefit of the Creator Series is its compatibility with popular slicers like Chitubox and Lychee, with print profiles already available for the new resins. They are compatible with a wide range of LCD and DLP printers, including the Elegoo Mars 4 9K, Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra, Anycubic Photon M2, Phrozen Sonic Mini 8K, and Creality Halot Mage 8K.

Atomic News & Gossips:
Apparently, Nexa3D might not be doing so well—this time, for real. If you're attending Formnext, stop by their booth and see if there's a sparkle of hope in their eyes.
People are saying that top industrial 3D printer manufacturers from Germany (the very best in the industry) are seeing a -50% drop in sales—and that, for now, there’s no clear solution to reverse this trend.
This is due to an overall drop in sales, affecting both the European and American industrial sectors. Major investments have been put on hold until after the U.S. elections. Will things pick up now under MAGA reign? We’ll see. Reportedly, even large Asian manufacturers of industrial AM systems are struggling to meet targets, despite offering significantly lower prices compared to Western machines.
