Atomic Layer of the Day:
Two years ago, independent developer Vipul Rajan from Create Inc. created an interesting Blender plugin called Stitch3R - Gcode Renderer. He recently released a new version that offers some exciting features.
Stitch3R converts GCode files from PrusaSlicer or OrcaSlicer into realistic 3D models ready for rendering. With this application, users can visualize the 3D printing process in FFF technology with a high level of detail, including infills, supports, layers, and even realistic print errors such as small "imperfections" or material blobs. The plugin provides fast and intuitive operation—simply select a GCode file, and Stitch3R will automatically process the data, adding materials, lighting, and scene settings.
Users can create impressive print sequence animations, with the option to select individual elements of the model for display, including multi-material support. Stitch3R is an ideal tool for creating 3D print timelapses, allowing users to add realistic effects with a single click, making it easy to present the printing process in an engaging way.
Plugin costs $25.
